This vehicle includes a broad Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract that is available to all Federal Civilian agencies along with Department of Defense (DOD) agencies. In some cases in can be utilized by both State and local government agencies also. Capricorn Systems is currently working aggressively towards acquiring other Government and DOD contracting vehicles. | Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute (LRRI) | |
Capricorn Systems Incorporated has been awarded a Prime Contract to assist Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute (LRRI) with a Security Self Assessment for measuring the effectiveness of their information system security programs and plans in support of the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). This Self Assessment will assist LRRI to:
LRRI is a private biomedical research organization dedicated to improving public health through research on the prevention, treatment, and cure of respiratory disease. Equipped with a broad range of technical expertise and a wealth of research capabilities, LRRI studies respiratory health issues of concern to scientists and health care experts in universities, government, industry, and patient advocacy groups. LRRI is committed to curing respiratory diseases through research aimed at understanding their causes and biological mechanisms; assessing and eliminating exposures to respiratory health hazards; and developing improved therapeutics, vaccines, and diagnostics. Capricorn will assist LRRI in reviewing and classifying their information systems based on FIPS 199 as well as NIST SP 800-53, SP 800-34, and SP 800-60 guidance and in accordance with OMB A-130. This will include analyzing and assigning appropriate classifications to systems based on a proven formula. In order to determine system classification, the criteria used to measure a system's sensitivity include confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Capricorn will assist the program business unit in determining the mission criticality of the system based on the rating score. |

Capricorn Systems Government Solutions, working as a partner to AT&T Government Solutions, Inc., was tasked to respond very quickly to a special project requirement involving MOWASP. A national recruiting effort resulted in our providing four very high-end DAWIA certified Senior Logistics Software Engineers. These professionals along with the AT&T team translated functional requirements into a logical breakdown of performance functions and translated them into the appropriate design characteristics which would collectively support the total Automated Information System (AIS). Our team also prepared the logistics supportability documents for submission to SYSCOM. |
